Ladyfingers

Discover the melt-in-your-mouth magic of perfectly crafted ladyfingers!

Ingredients: 

  • 3 large egg yolks, room temp
  • 1/2 granulated sugar, divided in half
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large egg whites, room temperature
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Whip egg yolks, half the sugar, and vanilla with a mixer until the yolks are a lighter yellow and set aside.
  3. Whip egg whites with a mixer until soft peaks form.
  4. Add remaining sugar and whip whites until much larger in size, with stiff peaks. (As fluffy as you can get them)
  5. Gently fold the yolks into the whites until almost combined.
  6. Sift flour in and fold until combined.
  7. Use a piping bag to pipe lady fingers onto your baking tray.
  8. Dust ladyfingers with powdered sugar and bake for 12- 15 minutes or until firm.
  9. These ladyfingers pair perfectly with the Balzac's Las Rosas Blend. Use it to dip in coffee, as a tiramisu base and other desserts!
