Balzac’s Coffee Roasters is recognized as Toronto’s Greenest Coffee Shop-Roaster by Live Green Toronto, an initiative that aims to make the city one of the world’s greenest by reducing its environmental footprint.
Balzac’s, an industry leader in sustainable food service, is committed to providing diligently-sourced products and ingredients. The company is LEAF (Leaders in Environmentally Accountable Foodservice) certified, upholding environmentally-responsible food service practices to reduce its impact.

The growing boutique coffee chain has embedded sustainability practices into the core of its brand since opening its first cafe location in 1996 in Stratford, Ontario.
The Live Green Toronto initiative aims to make the City of Toronto one of the greenest cities in the world through programs, grants, incentives, and resources to engage the community in helping to #TransformTO by accelerating the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
