Launch of New Nitro Cold Brew Cans

The boutique coffee chain presents their sophisticated Nitro Cold Brew beverage in tastefully designed cans, bringing quality and convenience to customers’ everyday coffee rituals.

Balzac’s Coffee Roasters, provider of unique artisanal café experiences, is thrilled to debut its newest product — Nitro Cold Brew in a can. With summer in full swing, the new product launch is a creative reflection of Balzac’s ability to combine a worthwhile product, meaningful experience and effective design into one.

The new addition to Balzac’s product lineup features the company’s freshly roasted coffee, slowly steeped in cold water to create a rich and creamy finish. The cans are available in three delicious flavour varietals — classic black, mocha, and vanilla.

Balzac’s works closely with Station Cold Brew Coffee Co., a company at the forefront of function and quality when it comes to the art of cold brew coffee, on co-packing the new Nitro Cold Brew product. The process is simple: Balzac’s delivers their freshly roasted coffee and Nitro Cold Brew cans to Station Cold Brew, who in turn brews and cans the product with their state-of-the-art equipment.

At Balzac’s, we take the flavour profiles of our products very seriously and are constantly finding new ways to innovate them. We met with Station Cold Brew consistently in the development of our Nitro Cold Brew cans to ensure that the recipes were designed to the highest quality and the flavours were on point,” says Diana Olsen, founder and president.

Inspired by the refreshing, summery aesthetic of the east coast and the desire to brand cold brew with a feminine flair, the package design of the cold brew cans have been created in collaboration with Balzac’s poster artist Alayna Paquette and Toronto-based studio Chad Roberts Design.

We are thrilled to be able to offer our famous Nitro Cold Brew — now in convenient cans — to our customers,” says Olsen. “The package design of this product has been thoughtfully crafted with femininity in mind. Since the cold brew trend emerged, the beverage has been associated with a more masculine audience. We aspired to change that dialogue with the launch of this product.

Combining Balzac’s famous locally roasted, fairtrade organic coffee with a tasteful and feminine aesthetic, the new Nitro Cold Brew cans can be purchased in all of Balzac’s café locations across Ontario. The product’s retail launch is scheduled for early fall at select grocers.

The debut of the new Nitro Cold Brew cans is just one of Balzac’s many efforts in 2019 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The company will continue the celebrations throughout the year with exciting new product launches, menu items, and merchandise releases.
