Las Rosas: First-Year Anniversary

Balzacs Las Rosas Coffee Blend Anniversary - Image

This month, we are celebrating our first-year anniversary of our Las Rosas coffee! We had the pleasure of partnering with RGC Coffee and the Las Rosas Women’s Group to present this exceptional coffee to our customers. The Las Rosas Women’s Group is a cooperative of over 400 Colombian women, which aims to prioritize gender equality and allows them to take on leadership positions on coffee farms. Grown, picked and processed by the women of Las Rosas, this coffee is dynamic and flavourful with notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar and pomegranate. In June, Diana Olsen, President and Founder of Balzac’s Coffee Roasters, and Will Thorburn, our Director of Coffee, had the pleasure of visiting the Las Rosas Women’s Group in Colombia, hosted by RGC Coffee. In celebration of our first-year anniversary, we worked with Toronto-based Artist, Caitlin Doherty, to create an homage to the Women of the Las Rosas Group, which was made entirely out of paper. To view more of Caitlin’s work, click here.
