Changes in café operations

On Friday, the Province of Ontario announced a number of new COVID-19 related restrictions. Most notably, the City of Toronto and Peel Region have entered a lockdown phase. While this is news none of us wanted to hear, we trust the judgment of our public health officials and hope this move helps flatten the curve.

While routines have greatly changed over the last eight months, we know that coffee continues to be a regular part of yours. Although these restrictions will change our in-café experience, we will remain open and offer takeout only in applicable regions. As usual, you can always purchase our products online, by visiting www.balzacs.com, and in grocery stores (click here to find the one closest to you).

If you plan on visiting a café, we urge you to please download the Balzac’s Coffee app and order ahead. Doing so will limit time spent in a café and ensure a touch-free experience. In some regions, we are also offering delivery through the app. iPhone users can download here and Android users can download here. If you are a DoorDash or Ritual user, you’ll find some of our locations on those platforms too.

Below is the customer service status of each of our cafés effective Monday, November 23.

TAKEOUT ONLY

LIMITED INDOOR SEATING, TAKEOUT AND PATIO

The health and safety of our customers and hard-working staff remains to be our top priority. Be assured that the extra precautionary measures we took at the beginning of the pandemic, including increased sanitization and social distancing, remain in place today.

We thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. As a locally-owned café chain, your loyalty and business has been an integral part of our ability to continue operations.

If you have any comments and/or questions, don’t hesitate to email us at info@balzacs.com.
